And yes, this all from the same flower, so many shots, because it was just so pretty...every time I turned it presented it different side of it's beauty :)
MY TAKE ON PHOTOGRAPHY
"The reason why we want to remember an image varies:
Because we simply 'love it', or dislike it so intensely that it becomes compulsive, or because it has made us realize something about ourselves, or has brought about some slight change in us. Perhaps the reader can recall some image after seeing of which has never been quite the same."

An Azalia
They're not entirely in bloom yet, but underneath all the branches with all the little buds, was one branch with a full flower :)

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!
What a week! It started off so nice in the beginning with a few trips to the playground & park...Then ended up with Maddie being struck with a really bad stomach virus :( I swear she's never been so sick...poor thing. Thank goodness though the worst of it is all over and she's back to her old self today :) So with that said, I'm sorry that a few of these had to be from my archives! Here are my interpretations of this weeks items...
Rimmed with Light
What a fun topic! When first learning what *rimmed with light* meant in the first place, it was up for grabs, realizing that I've actually got a bunch of these kinds of pics...here's one of Maddie from last years trip to Colonial Williamsburg V.A.
Architecture
This was a snapshot I took on our way into the city this past Saturday during the NY Auto Show. What fun it was especially for Jay, he was in a world of his own, as cars have become his latest craze!
Toes or Feet
This is My Favorite...
Drawing...I know, it's not even done yet, should be within a day or so...but seriously, with every new drawing, it somehow becomes my *favorite.* How is that?
Shades
One of my favorite shots of Miss Maddie here during a balloon launch at last years summer solstice :)
As always, Happy Hunting :D
Next Week:
SOOC
Sprouting
Isn't it Ironic?
Lazy
Smells like Spring

Scavenger Hunt Sunday! Happy Easter :)
Another week of Scavenger Hunting completed :D Here are my interpretations!
Reflections
OooOO lookie, it's me!
Guess What This is...
I don't know, to me it's pretty obvious, or is that just because I took the picture :/...what do you think?
What's inside?
Some baby leaves, waiting to emerge.
Playtime
Her most favorite toys, her stuffed animals :)
Lawn & Garden
Our *lawn* so needs to be treated so badly, because believe or not there are a gazillion of these wild flowers currently taking over our grass!
Have a great Sunday!

Spring Time :)
So glad to finally get some nice weather around here, the nice days have been just so far and few between! But ever since getting out last week with my extention tubes at our outing to the playground, I've been quite frankly a bit obsessed. I went out yesterday morning, although it was quite cloudy & dreary out, I was determined. Later in the day, the sun appeared & had another outing with the kiddies to our nearby park, capturing them & a few flowers along the way.... Today, picking up what I can find in the yard to photograph, dandelions seemed to have worked out just fine. & oh my windiness today, can I tell you how difficult it is to shoot macros in the wind, I was lucky to get what I did today :)
An azalea bush waiting to bloom
These little buds, were from our front yard tree...I was so drawn to them, because they literally were like little pom poms hanging from the bud, so pretty.
Here's an azalea saying hi to spring already :)
My Dad's little pine tree, it was about a foot high when he gave it to me just a few years ago. It had been growing out of the corner of his shed & decided to give it to me...(I'm always complaining that we simply don't have enough trees in our yard). & to think it's bigger than me now, it's thriving because it's his, I just know it. Thaks one thing he always had a knack for that I certainly do not & that's gardening.
One of my favorite shots from yesterday morning, because as little as these little buds are, you can truly see the reds! They start off this red, change to a brilliant green all summer long, & return this lovely red once again come fall.
This post is getting excessive! Like I said, I've become borderline obsessed this past week!
& that concludes my macros for today, till next time :)

Easter Eggs :)
It's spring break, & what a morning of fun and activity for us yesterday!**
**I feel the need to footnote here, because when I say I'm not crafty I mean it...most people think, "she can draw, she must be crafty" & therefore don't believe me...believe me when I say, as fun and as festive as it was, I was completely out of my comfort zone. (besides the fact that I was taking pictures the whole time :P) juggling the eggs, spilling of the dyes, ruining the sticker thingies, dealing with numerous busted up eggs... not to mention the massive clean up afterwards!!!
With that all said...& when I look back, especially at these pictures, I may not be the craftiest girl in town, but at the end of the day, we've got a big bowl of colorful eggs, and 2 very happy kiddies! & that in itself makes it more than worth being out of my comfort zone for one morning.
Hurray, they got together for a snapshot!!! :D
