MY TAKE ON PHOTOGRAPHY

"The reason why we want to remember an image varies: Because we simply 'love it', or dislike it so intensely that it becomes compulsive, or because it has made us realize something about ourselves, or has brought about some slight change in us. Perhaps the reader can recall some image after seeing of which has never been quite the same."

Scavenger Hunt!

"Shadow or Silhouette" also POTW.  Boy this was challenging...I however took on the challenge and forced myself to conquer "silhouette" this week.  Thank goodness Maddie was at least cooperative, making her go out 3 evenings in a row before capturing a shot that I was happy with.

"Motion Blur" & how fun was this, as I had just captured this shot coming home from Crystal Caves in P.A. this past Saturday...I was in the passenger seat just shooting away trying this that and the other thing using a really slow SS. And I'm glad I did because I think this is a pretty cool shot. The blur is the rolling landscape in P.A. Pretty day for pictures...even though we were driving. I have to laugh because during the whole ride, I had darling husband yelling at me, "don't you EVER put that thing down?!"

I usually don't cheat, but have to include this one too; taken during the same car ride! LOL, don't blink, you might miss the bus!

I got lazy with this one, "magazine." I know, no excuses, but I ran out of time :P This is a snapshot of one of the kiddies "Highlights" magazines. It's a tree frog, I kind of liked the shape of the leaf at the bottom against the black page.

"10." Here I chose 10 hot wheel cars, taken on Jason's toy chest...

Finally "glass" what better way then to capture darling husbands new pair of fancy "glasses!"

  1. Great shots as always but I definitely love your take on motion blur. THis is one of those things that I'm still trying to master but I love how you really slowed down the shutter speed to achieve this effect. My husband is regularly telling me to put the camera down.

  3. Love the motion blur photos!! I put so much effort into not having blurry photos, that I forget an intentionally blurry one can create a lovely, dramatic effect.
