"The reason why we want to remember an image varies: Because we simply 'love it', or dislike it so intensely that it becomes compulsive, or because it has made us realize something about ourselves, or has brought about some slight change in us. Perhaps the reader can recall some image after seeing of which has never been quite the same."

Scavenger Hunt!

"Shadow or Silhouette" also POTW.  Boy this was challenging...I however took on the challenge and forced myself to conquer "silhouette" this week.  Thank goodness Maddie was at least cooperative, making her go out 3 evenings in a row before capturing a shot that I was happy with.
"Motion Blur" & how fun was this, as I had just captured this shot coming home from Crystal Caves in P.A. this past Saturday...I was in the passenger seat just shooting away trying this that and the other thing using a really slow SS. And I'm glad I did because I think this is a pretty cool shot. The blur is the rolling landscape in P.A. Pretty day for pictures...even though we were driving. I have to laugh because during the whole ride, I had darling husband yelling at me, "don't you EVER put that thing down?!"
I usually don't cheat, but have to include this one too; taken during the same car ride! LOL, don't blink, you might miss the bus!
I got lazy with this one, "magazine." I know, no excuses, but I ran out of time :P This is a snapshot of one of the kiddies "Highlights" magazines. It's a tree frog, I kind of liked the shape of the leaf at the bottom against the black page.
"10." Here I chose 10 hot wheel cars, taken on Jason's toy chest...
Finally "glass" what better way then to capture darling husbands new pair of fancy "glasses!"

  1. Great shots as always but I definitely love your take on motion blur. THis is one of those things that I'm still trying to master but I love how you really slowed down the shutter speed to achieve this effect. My husband is regularly telling me to put the camera down.

  2. Your photos are amazing! I absolutely love the motion blur photos, and the glasses pictures.

  3. Love the motion blur photos!! I put so much effort into not having blurry photos, that I forget an intentionally blurry one can create a lovely, dramatic effect.

  4. I love your pictures. Your daughter looks so very sweet! Love the toys lined up : ) Who would think they would make for such awesome picture taking, right? Very creative with the magazines and the glasses as well! Cool!

  5. Really pretty entry for 10 - the cars look really good in B&W

  6. I would have to say that all of these shots are fabulous but my favorite your "10". I just love the toy cars!

  7. The first motion blur is absolutely divine - LOVE the colors - good take on "glass" as well!!!

  8. Ten is my favorite! So cute! They are all great!

  9. Ooh, awesome pictures! The silhouette one is gorgeous! The lighting is lovely. And "don't miss the bus" - LOL! Love it! :-) Great idea on the hot wheel cars - can't believe I didn't think of that one; I trip over those things all day long. ;-)

  10. Very nice shots! Your first motion blur is stupendous! I love that the clouds are so crisp and clear and the world is speeding by... I think that picture says so much.

  11. Oh my goodness.....I don't think I can pick a favorite!! They're all fantastic!

  12. glasses rock! :) Loved your interpretation on this scavenger hunt.
