I recently blogged about our vacation trip to VA & have yet to edit all the rest, but I'm going to share Maddie, I felt this part needed a post all on it's own... !
It wasn't until we went back to our room....& she really turned into a tiger!!!

Thanks for the posing Maddie!
We got home & she inspired me to make another creation :)
MY TAKE ON PHOTOGRAPHY
"The reason why we want to remember an image varies:
Because we simply 'love it', or dislike it so intensely that it becomes compulsive, or because it has made us realize something about ourselves, or has brought about some slight change in us. Perhaps the reader can recall some image after seeing of which has never been quite the same."

Dear Blogging Friends
I've been such a photog slacker lately, well, I think I am anyway, never mind the fact that I took a gazillion and one shots of my family vacation recently...needless to say, I HAVE been neglecting my camera compared to what I'm used to...scavenger hunting etc... I know I'll get back on track real soon, in the mean time, as mentioned in my recent random post, my other obsession/hobby has taken me over!!!
Here's a piece I've created recently called *Be Mine*... I've yet to post her on my Whimsy blog.
even..but just wanted to share with you all because I've been so MIA lately!
ALSO...I've recently discovered that I could create a coupon code over at my Etsy shop ~A Bit of Whimsy~. and figured, there's no better way than to share it with my "blogging friends."
It's 15% off all in my shop and the code is:
BLOGGINGFRIENDS
I really have *met* so many fabulous people through blogging & am trying hard to keep up with everyone!!! You all have been such a tremendous inspiration to me throughout my journey...
xo

Vacation...Part 1
I'm finally getting around to blogging about our annual trip to Busch Gardens VA...sooo much fun equals sooo many pictures. I've gotten to editing my favorites, here they are. (eta...here are some, there just needs to be a part 2!)
First stop, hotel...& wow I swear the best lighting each time we visit VA is by the window in our hotel room, go figure!
Maddie gazing out the window, & what an exciting view of the parking lot we had! Don't matter to a little 5 year old though ;)
Yippee! An Angry Bird the best prize ever!
Maddie literally needing to pull in Jason for a quick snapshot...
& of course, a silly face, no surprise for silly Jason.
Best part of vacation, any time any where, you know, the part where I don't have to cook any meals!!! Our hotel had the very best breakfast...You name it, they had it... & boy did we stuff ourselves each morning before venturing out to the amusement park!
After taking this one, Maddie asked me "Mommy, can you see my golden tooth?" Hmmm, no just some scrambled eggs honey.
Elmo's Forest of Fun, a spray park that the kiddies thourowly enjoyed!
Maddie's AND my favorite part of the trip, getting her face painted!
Yes, it's a Tiger! How funny because each year she say's "I know I'm going to be a this that or the other thing" Until she sits down, looks through the book of examples and sure enough she pin points something that she gets her heart set on! She saw this Tiger & fell in love :)
What a lovely backdrop, these flowers right next to where she was finnished...sat down for a few shots!
Roller coasters!!
Notice the silly monkey around Maddie's neck, I'm afraid almost all pictures following this day will have her with this very monkey around her neck :P
Weee!!!
I wish I had better pics of this roller coaster...It's called "The Loch Ness Monster!" It has 2 loopty loops (this is how Jay refers to them) that extend over a lake in the park....He's just this year, been tall enough to ride this one...we were a bit skeptical if he'd be brave enough to actual ride...well, need I say that he not only rode it once, 8, yes 8 times. Once with Mommy, at night, in the front seat...while fireworks were going off. Can I just say, this one moment had to be just the coolest moment of my life! Yes, I ejoy roller coasters as well.

Such a Random Post
I'm afraid I've been neglecting my camera! My other obsession/hobby has been taking me over! Here's a quickie of a piece I've recently completed. There are others but haven't had the time to pick up the camera to photograph them...that'll be in the works probably hopefully next week!
She's "All Dressed Up & No Where to Go"
And we recently came back from a trip to Busch Gardens VA...Here I did take tons of pics, family snap shots mostly...I was able to sit Maddie down for a bunch of shots of her with her Tiger face painting!
I wanted to take shots of the fireworks, but opted to hold Maddie & just enjoy the moment of watching them together...I wanted to shoot the roller coasters at a slow shutter speed, but the family wouldn't have any of that..."Come on Mommy, put the camera down & COME ON!"
So anyway here is my random post...Tons of vacation shots to go through AND Maddie had her dance recital recently & haven't had time to go through them either! Yikes...to much to do, not enough time in the day!
