Helloooo Summer :D

Finally...not only has the weather turned warm, it's turned HOT! & You won't see me complaining not one bit! It's been such a dreary, cold, rainy, depressing, fall, winter & spring...I'm going to welcome summer (no matter how hot it gets) with open arms! Anyway, this Memorial Day weekend, we took out the kiddie pool, & needless to say we had a  blast...

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Glad I got a hunt together this week! Crazy couple of weeks, well this week was crazy too with Maddie being sick, but still somehow was able to put something together...Here are this weeks interpretations!

This is from Maddie's mobile, the butterflies once hung over her crib, but so beautiful...it's remained in her room, now over her big girl bed.

This was an easy one, Fred's always on the floor....lol unless he's hanging out on his newest favorite spot; our leather recliner in our family room...spoiled rabbit.

Thought this would make for a cool pic for this topic...I was shooting our rose bush...and this was hiding amongst all the thorny branches.

Went with the obvious here...just opened up the fridge and shot a fresh red delicious apple :)

Some Random Macros

It's seriously been raining around here (with the exception of Jason's Holy Communion Saturday) for what seems like forever! We had a nice warm day, with a few peaks of sun so me & Maddie got some time to play in the front yard.  Perfect opportunity to check out the budding flowers around the house.

Here's what I found.













The rose bush is blooming so nicely now!






The rhododendron is showing some buds...





& so are the clovers! I'm afraid with all this rain, we haven't had the chance to mow the lawn, & our yard is covered with these!

Jason's 1st Holy Communion

We got him a "Precious Moments" figurine...a little boy & a lamb, with the saying *Jesus Loves Me* Look at the pure joy on his face, he's truly a little boy who indeed loves the precious things in life...his best friend is still his blankie that he sleeps with each night. & it wasn't only until the party was over and I was cleaning his room, seeing the figurine next his blanket...you see it's a precious moment's too, adorned with a baby being surrounded by little lambs...I couldn't help but make the comparison...oh my did this speak volumes to me this night, how  he's transformed right before my very eyes in just 8 short years, from a little baby to now a young boy..I'm so very proud of him.

What a wonderful wonderful occasion it was with all of our loving family to share in the day...I know Dad was looking down on Jason and simply gleaming with pride and joy for him...how he adored his grandson.

A Girl & a Spray Bottle

In between about 8 straight days of rain...the other day, the clouds broke for the afternoon & Maddie decided, (of all things) she wanted to play with the watter bottle...seriously, haven't we gotten wet enough girl?

Bina...Beautiful Dancer

I was so excited to attend my nieces dance competition Saturday!  What a beautiful dancer she has become, how very proud I am of her :)  She's starting dancing at age 4 and has since thrown herself into the joys of performing!







& what fun it was to see what goes on backstage! I think Maddie's got a friend for life in her cousin, she absolutely adores her.



Look at this gorgeous face!! So happy, she truly loves to dress up. In all I believe  there were 5 routines she performs in. & every single one special in it's own way.









To me, the best shot of the day, & not only because of the beautiful dancers, but because of the adorning oh so proud parents!

Another Day at the Park!

Another beautiful spring day! We decided to go to our usual playground...now beyond the swing sets & jungle gyms there's a *Butterfly Park* with lovely plantings a really nice walkway...well, usually halfway down the path Maddie usually starts complaining that we go back to the playground.  This time we went so far we discovered a woodland path....so lovely!
