MY TAKE ON PHOTOGRAPHY

"The reason why we want to remember an image varies: Because we simply 'love it', or dislike it so intensely that it becomes compulsive, or because it has made us realize something about ourselves, or has brought about some slight change in us. Perhaps the reader can recall some image after seeing of which has never been quite the same."

Spring Break!

Wow, I can't believe how incredibly long it has been since I've come on here to post pictures! My art has completely taken over my life! In a good way though, I've been busier than I ever could have imagined.  I never thought in my wildest dreams that my hobby/love/passion could turn into a career.

Anyway, on with the pictures... so I dusted the old camera off, charged up the battery and headed off with the family & headed to Washington DC during spring break.  My dad grew up there, so I grew up spending my vacation time visiting grandma, every year, twice a year... so what a treat it was to visit the old town again after all these years.  We litterally saw all of DC in 3 days, & yes that included the trip.  This was the kiddies first time there, and as I predicted, their favorite part of the whole trip... the Metro!

Look at Jason, you'll notice almost all of the pictures that I took of him were of him taking pictures of other things, & of Maddie of course.

Trick or Treat!

What a Halloween we had...lots of costumes, fun, candy, family, and yes, even some slush! This was a first, snow on the ground...but that didn't stop the kiddies from enjoying their day of trick or treating :D & can I just say how grown up everyone seems to be now?! Going from house to house like they're pros now!

Cheers!

Well, it was our 14th wedding anniversary on the 11th, as was my Mom's birthday! So to my surprise John planned a mini adventure for the three of us; to take a day trip to Atlantic City!! Not that many pictures I'm afraid But tons of FUN :D  My mom has lived in Jersey for just about her whole life and have never ventured to the casinos before, so to put it mildly she had a blast!

After several hours playing the penny & nickle slots...my mom had a bit of luck with some of the table games...then we were off to dinner. We ate at Ruth's Chris Steak House. & oh my was it delicious. It was one of those dinners that started with 5 pm reservations & we stayed at the restaurant till about 7:30... cake & coffee & champagne, the whole 9 yards! It was all in all one fabulous day...

Pumpkin Picking!

What a day it was! Hot as can be...definitely the hottest pumpking picking we've ever done! We've made it a tradition, always trying to get together with my 2 sisters...my baby sister I'd say started the tradition & this was her first pumpkin picking whith her own son this year, so what a special time it was :)

Car Museum & OCC

The kiddies were off from school this past Thursday & Friday, so darling husband took the opportunity & took some time off work to do a few day trips. First on Thursday we hit up this really cool car museum in PA called "America on Wheels." The kids simply love museums & to top it off Jason's got this recent passion for cars, old & new so he really enjoyed himself. Of course Maddie loves all family outings so she was as happy as can be regardless the destinations. Me of course I was happy, got a chance to pick up the camera dust it off & give a go at some really cool subjects.

Wait that's not a car, no it's Maddie checking out Jay as he was in a very cool car simulator.

Oh and lookie it's all of us! I took the opportunity as it seemed we were the only people in the entire museum...there was this room full of old soap box cars & yay, a table to set the camera down on for a quickie snapshot!
