Shoot & Edit Week 12~Green~Edit

I'm having so much fun with this challenge, I'm so lacking in my editing skillz, what a great way to practice.  This week I posted this recent shot of Maddie in her favorite *green* shirt. Again, not lovin the shot, but something about her expression that just grabs me.  So here you have my go on editing it.

I know I wanted a tighter crop, but not much play with the colors other than a bit of contrast and lightening.

Yet again, here's my girl.  Posing for a pic, testing out some High Key photo's for this week's scavenger hunt...this didn't turn out the way I wanted it to.  But still, I like the moment :)

Maddie a *Model*

Well, it's been done, my Maddie is now officially my personal model.  No more fun and games for this little one...



I'm am using this photo as a muse for my next drawing :) & what a good sport, she even managed a smile for me... it wasn't until after my 40th snap or so that she started to complain... Sorry, Maddie, I'm going to have to start paying you in chocolate or stuffed animals or something :P

Well, this is one of my most recent shots  with *green* in it, so here you have it.  Maddie in one of her favorite green shirts, this one seems to need some editing & haven't concurred it yet, so great opportunity to use it for this weeks challenge :)

Shoot & Edit: Week 11~Flowers EDIT

So this weeks theme is *flowers* I posted my original shot of this lovely hydrangea in the beginning of this week. Shot during our trip to Longwood Gardens back in February. This was taken using my 50mm and extention tubes. I probably should have chose a pic that required more editing. Here's what I came up with.

Nothing spectacular, I just lightened it up a bit,  played with the colors & took out some of the imperfections on the pedals. :)

OK, here's another edit, thanks to Ashley for her very informative Dry Brush PS tutorial. I can't believe I've never played with this edit before!

Lucky

So it turns out the Maddie has started to *journal* and yes she's only 5 years old. I swear everyday this little girl never ceases to amaze me.  Anyway, we sat together yesterday just quietly listening to music and writing away in our journals.  I stumbled across this entry in mine from a few years ago and couldn't help but to want to blog about it.



Friday, October 3, 2008-

"So we're playing in the front yard on a beautiful fall day! Maddie picked me a *flower*, turned out to be a 4-leaf clover. Moments later, I proceeded to pick a clover myself to explain how special it was & most clovers have only 3 leaves. low & behold, I picked a 4-leaf clover, if that's not good luck, I don't know what is!"

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

Wow, this had to be the quickest put together of a Scavenger Hunt for me ever. These were all taken & edited within 2 days...well, with the exception of *camera* this was from my archives from a previous scavenger hunt with a bit of an edit retweak. Anyway, here you have it, not the best, but at least completed ::yay::!

My newest listing :o) So happy with the way this came out, I don't know why I haven't made more of these... I can simply draw floral designs all day, it's so theropudic :) Although I have to admit, I feel like I've been drawing so much lately, my camera is getting neglected...I'm sorry Ms. Canon I promise to play with you later today ;)

So yes, I've listed this on Etsy, I've had another example of a monogram listed for quite some time now and have had no interest in it, so hopefully this one will get more attention :( All I can do is hope & pray & keep my fingers crossed.  This Etsy stuff is sooo hard, I knew it would be though, so I'm not entirely discouraged yet.

Ahh a Bun's Love, Peace

*Peace* is the topic this week over at "the Paper Mama"...I thought this was fitting :)



She's always so peaceful when she's with Fred...pets can be so incredibly calming. :) Especially Fred, considering he could be quite jumpy at times when he's playing; hopping all around us, hopping on the furniture...but the minute someone starts petting him, he turns into such a complete *mush*.

So glad I was able to capture this moment, so too often Fred's in a dark room or under the bed or somewhere where there's nooo light and practically impossible to shoot!

Simple Beauty

I snapped this one of Maddie just the other day, so nice to enjoy the outdoors finally! I know to me she looked just so pretty in the moment, outside the fresh air on her face & the sun in her eyes. But it wasn't until actually uploaded the pic & looking at her that I could really appreciate the *simple beauty* that she so possesses.

Sky

The sky was so lovely on Saturday! The kiddies were riding their bikes & scooting around the driveway, my camera was drawn upwards to the sky...I'm yearning for spring time and some warmth!

I know you all have seen this one before! It's my favorite swing shot taken last spring...Maddie of course flying high :D     Thought this was too fun to pass up!



I'm sooo looking forward for the warmer weather and enjoy moments like this again! I can just feel the sun on my face :)
